In chi e che cosa crediamo
La Chiesa evangelica valdese è in comunione con tutti i cristiani nel mondo che credono in Dio Padre, Figlio e Spirito Santo, come è stato creduto dalla chiesa antica.
Per quanto riguarda la salvezza, i sacramenti e la chiesa, crede al solo insegnamento del Vangelo, cioè che:
l’essere umano, che per natura è ribelle a Dio, non può salvarsi da solo;
la salvezza, pagata a caro prezzo mediante la morte di Gesù Cristo sulla croce e manifestata dalla sua resurrezione, viene donata gratuitamente da Dio ai peccatori;
la salvezza è data a tutti coloro che credono in Cristo, senza bisogno di alcuna precondizione e di alcun merito;
il cristiano e la cristiana, avendo ricevuto la giustizia del loro salvatore Gesù Cristo, sono chiamati a vivere nella riconoscenza, nella preghiera, nell’impegno e nell’ascolto della parola del Signore;
Gesù Cristo ha istituito i sacramenti del Battesimo e della Comunione come segni visibili, semplici ed efficaci per comprendere e vivere meglio la grazia proclamata dal Vangelo;
la parola di Dio negli scritti dell’Antico e del Nuovo Testamento è la rivelazione della volontà e dell’amore di Dio per i suoi figli;
la parola di Dio è la sola parola autorevole che guida la chiesa, contro ogni superstizione e ogni abuso che la Storia umana ha prodotto;
la Chiesa, fondata da Gesù Cristo ed edificata con gli insegnamenti degli Apostoli, è una comunità di fratelli e sorelle liberi, responsabili e al servizio gli uni degli altri;
Dio verrà a giudicare il mondo, a rivelare il regno della sua giustizia in un mondo nuovo e a risvegliare i morti alla vita eterna, per la felicità senza fine di tutti quelli che credono in lui.

In Whom and What We Believe
The Waldensian Evangelical Church is in communion with all Christians worldwide who believe in God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, as has been believed by the ancient church.
Regarding salvation, the sacraments, and the church, it adheres solely to the teaching of the Gospel, namely that:
Human beings, who by nature are rebellious toward God, cannot save themselves;
Salvation, paid for at a high price through the death of Jesus Christ on the cross and manifested by his resurrection, is freely given by God to sinners;
Salvation is given to all those who believe in Christ, without the need for any precondition or merit.
Christian men and women, having received the righteousness of their Savior Jesus Christ, are called to live in gratitude, prayer, commitment, and attentiveness to the Word of the Lord.
Jesus Christ instituted the sacraments of Baptism and Communion as visible, simple, and effective signs to better understand and live out the grace proclaimed by the Gospel.
The Word of God in the writings of the Old and New Testaments is the revelation of God’s will and love for his children.
The Word of God is the sole authoritative word that guides the church, standing against all superstition and every abuse produced by human history;
The Church, founded by Jesus Christ and built upon the teachings of the Apostles, is a community of siblings who are free, responsible, and at the service of one another;
God will come to judge the world, to reveal the kingdom of his righteousness in a new world, and to raise the dead to eternal life, for the endless joy of all those who believe in him.
